Himalayan Singing bowl is also known as FullMoon Nepal Singing bowl. It's a type of bell that vibrates, producing a rich deep tone when played. It is said that singing bowl helps to promote relaxation and offer powerful healing properties.
Singing bowls are solely crafted by hand on a full moon evening, enhancing its subtle moon energy for healing vibrations. They are chosen carefully by sound testing to ensure their healing properties. Traditionally, the bowls were made of seven sacred metals, corresponding to the seven planets.
It is a common belief that the seven metals astrologically associated with the seven (then known) planets or celestial bodies were combined in the bowl-makers alchemical smelting pot to make the bowls. The seven metals and their planetary associations are Gold (Sun), Silver (Moon), Copper (Venus), Iron (Mars), Tin (Jupiter), Mercury/ Quicksilver (Mercury) and Lead (Saturn), all of which feature heavily in alchemical symbolism.
